Washing Machine Replacement Project

In March 2004 we helped the TB Prevention Center in Ilisua to obtain a second hand industrial size washing machine and centrifuge.  This project was sponsored financially by Bat Cave Baptist Church in North Carolina.  Thanks for everything you did to make this project a reality for the 130 children in Ilisua.

The old industrial washing machine

Rusted, corroded and on it last leg

Old centrifuge that spins water out of clothes before they are hung out on lines to dry.

We found this second hand machine for sale in the newspaper. It was used rarely by a minor league soccer team.

Here is the second hand centrifuge...quite a difference!

The washing machine with a new coat of paint and in use.

The newly painted centrifuge. Good as new!

Proudly demonstrating how great the new centrifuge works!

The new washing machine is already put to work!

Compare the two. Here is the old washing machine! Compare the two. Here is the old washing machine!

AND HERE IS THE NEW ONE! Wow!!!! Thank you Bat Cave Baptist Church!!
