2009 PRAYER POINTS
“If my people who are called by my name
will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked
ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal
their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14
1. Give thanks to the Lord because of
all the transformations He brought in our lives until today, with both trials
and blessings and all the challenges.
Pray His blessings over the year 2009, and pray for the changes He has for us in
the new season!
Pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit over the Church. Pray that this would
be a year of fulfillments and a year of walking into a new spiritual and
authority level; pray that God would change hearts (by repentance, humbleness,
love, obedience, boldness) so that we would all walk into the fullness of
Christ's call from Mark 16:15-18.
Year 2009 will be a year of major and sudden changes, amplifying the "pain"; a
year of desperate seeking solutions to impossible situations - and the Lord
calls us to be the ones who bring His answers to these, to be the ones who speak
His peace. We must lift up our eyes to the Lord - being awake, watching and
preparing. Luke 12:29-40; Luke 21:28, Luke 21:34-36.
Get ready Church for mighty things, for the Lord is coming soon!
2. Pray that each of us would get
mobilized for our personal call, fulfilling the vision given by God. Pray
for action, and stop making human-strategic plans; move into the vision that God
gave you - as a church or Christian organization. Pray for new strategies in
your ministry, as the Spirit will guide you - and be obedient to follow the Holy
Spirit, corporately, as a church, and personally.
Pray against any form of passion without wisdom or rebellion against the
authority instituted by God in each church. Pray that the Christians would
understand and respect the spiritual principles of authorities instituted by God
in the church, even if the warfare and ministry fronts would diversify and
expand very much.
The Lord will equip us for new situations right in time - but right now we must
use the talents He gave us. We have to do what we can with what we have and
we must stop wasting our TIME!!
The Lord is calling us: come, serve with what you have from me, for I gave you
much and you do little.
Pray against confusion, discouragement, pride, and competition that maybe
blocked you individually or corporately, to fulfill God's works.
3. Ask God's blessings over the National
Prayer Network of Romania. Pray that He would amplify and expand the prayer
network and also the prayer movements in our nation. Continue to pray for a
revival of prayer for this year!
4. Pray for the Church of Romania.
(Rev.22:7, Rev. 22:10-11).
- revival and freshening among God's people; pray for holiness, humbleness,
faith, love, obedience. Humbleness is the key of the victorious warriors!
- pray that we would live in Christ's fullness (Eph. 1:3-23, 2:4-6); pray for
spiritual maturity for Christians - through the Word, prayer, total obedience to
the Lord.
- pray for unity, that God's Army would come closer to one another.
- pray restoration and healing of relationships - among Christians, families,
leaders, churches. Stand against disunity, fights, hatred, bitterness,
discouragement, manipulation, accusations that affected relationships among
Christians. Ask God to clean and heal the Body of Christ from Romania.
- pray for the captives to be set free this year.
- pray that the hearts of the fathers would turn to the hearts of the children,
and the hearts of the children would turn to the hearts of the fathers - Mal 4:6
(including the relationships among parents and spiritual children). Pray for
youth and children of the churches - that God would equip them, protect and help
them serve Him.
5. Pray for Romania and declare:
Father, may Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth and in
Romania in this year 2009, as it is in Heaven!
Pray that the Lord would bless and protect the population, the
territories and the waters of our nation, the crops of 2009 and the flocks
(Psalm 91). Ask protection from God against epidemics and natural disasters.
Pray peace and protection over Romania from any violent conflicts inside or at
the borders, and against any form of terrorism. Pray for divine strategies to
the economical development of our country, and protection of the people against
the financial crisis.
Pray that God would fulfill His plans among the new leadership of our country
(Parliament, government, city-halls). Pray for our president Traian Basescu and
for the future president which will be elected in 2009.
6. Pray for the spiritual revolution that
we're waiting for - the revival of Romania.
Pray that 2009 would be a year of breakthrough, when the Light of the Gospel
of Jesus Christ would breakthrough the darkness at a national level, and that
God would set free mindsets out of captivity.
7. Pray protection and blessing over
Israel, pray for the peace of Jerusalem; pray salvation and protection over
the Jewish people, and wisdom from God for its leaders.
