Suzie Benforado’s Ministry Update
February 2007
Greetings from Romania! Closer to heaven in 2007!
Spiritual warfare is a serious reality in Romania any time a person or ministry begins
to raise its head above the level of the crowd. Like what happened to John the Baptist,
the enemy wants to remove the head of every voice that proclaims "Prepare the way for
the Lord", especially when the multitudes start really listening.
So it has been with our church, Antioch Christian Center (ACC). During the summer
camps, we witnessed dozens of salvations, healings and other amazing miracles.
Those saved at camp were bringing their
friends and family to church and they were
being saved too. Things were moving forward
and gaining more and more momentum. The
atmosphere was charged.
Since then we've been through a tough time of
battle over our church...the devil going for our
head. In the process, we lost some good
people. But God Himself came and turned the
battle. We've come through a bit bruised and
battered but also definitely stronger, wiser and
more experienced with the weapons of our warfare. Like in Nehemiah's day when the
enemy threatened the building of the walls, in one hand we carry our sword and with the
other hand we continue to build. Things are moving forward again. May God continue
to train our hands for battle and our fingers for war so that we are not easy prey for the
enemy, but rather a dangerous and deadly foe.
In February, we enjoyed the prophetic teaching and
ministry of Bill Norton. Bill is David's (pastor of ACC)
dad and has a special calling for bringing God's
breakthrough into difficult church situations. After our
recent spiritual battles, Bill Norton brought just what we
needed from God and as a result, the spiritual
atmosphere cleared. Bill also prophetically brought
more about what is in the heart of God for Romania.
God continues to promise revival in Romania.
What does revival look like? In January, Mihaela
(our pastor's wife) had a prophetic word for the church
with some clues: great healing miracles, tangible
presence of God like we've never experienced before,
visitation of angels, many added to the church, our
church characterized by signs and wonders, our
church having a wall of wonders in the future with
discarded crutches and empty wheelchairs testifying

of God's power to heal, supernatural effectiveness in our prayers, great torrential
outpouring of His Spirit. ..
Sounds wonderful to me! I can't wait to see these things with my own eyes! Yes, it is an
exciting time to be in Romania! Please pray with us for God's glory to fill Cluj and
Romania and for this outpouring to transform the lives and hearts of the lost, of churches
of every denomination and also bring major reformation throughout the entire country.
I am still amazed how God works through me as I pray for the sick and hurting. It
doesn't amaze me that He does something, but it does amaze me that He allows me to
be part of a miracle. It is such a high privilege and honor to be an ambassador of Christ
in this way. God is so awesome and I love to
see Him at work up close and personal.
Carla, 13 years old has been stooped-
shouldered for years. Saturday when we
prayed for her at church, her upper back
straightened and all pain left. The greatest
testimony of all, her amazed ear to ear
smile as she realized what God had done
for her!
Diana, 16 years old, complained that she felt that the closer she got to God, the
harder her life became. I was moved with compassion recognizing this as a lie from
the enemy. I prayed over her and broke the lie in the name of Jesus. Suddenly she
couldn't breathe... she couldn't inhale nor exhale. I continued to pray and she was
set completely free!
A widow, Susi, 80+ years old complained of pain in her back and both knees. She
walked only with difficulty, in jerky motions as she painfully shifted her weight from
one leg to the other. She and I prayed together for God's healing touch in her
body. As we prayed, a great portion of the pain dissipated and her joints freed up so
that she could walk much more smoothly and with greatly reduced pain.
Sabina, 24 years old, lives in Iasi, 300 miles away, mentioned as we chatted on
instant messenger that she had accidentally slammed her hand in a car door. It was
sore, stiff, swollen and bruised. I offered to pray "long distance". I had her lay her
hand on her computer screen and I did the same on my screen. I prayed for her
healing for several minutes and then asked how she was. The swelling had gone
down significantly. She could move her hand freely, the pain was mostly gone with
still a bit of pain lingering only in a localized spot at the bruised place of one finger!
Ana and her husband Aaron, 30+ years old, have been unable to conceive a baby
though they very much desire a family. I prayed for them. Now I am waiting with
great faith for news of a miracle for them... ;-)
Recently while teaching in the church, I used Jarius (Mat 9, Mk 5, Lu 8) as an example
of faith in the hard times. He left his dying daughter's side and sought out Jesus. His
faith said "Jesus, if you would just lay your hand on my daughter, she will live." Jesus
started home with Jarius, but on the way they got news that Jarius' daughter had died.
Jesus did an amazing thing. He ignored what He had just heard and basically He told

Jarius to do the same saying "Just believe!". Like Jarius, we have to stop crying
about our difficult situations and seek Jesus until we find Him. Sometimes we have
to ignore what our eyes see and what our ears hear
and simply believe in the goodness and good
promises of our God. In spite of our situation, we can
invite Jesus "Come and lay your hand on this, and it
will live."...the same hand that healed so many, the
hand that raised Jarius’ daughter from the dead, the
hand that was nailed to the cross to purchase
salvation, healing and deliverance for us...that same
hand can turn any impossible situation around. Just
believe!
Right now life is about tenaciously believing what God has said, in spite of "evidence" all
around me that seems to indicate otherwise. This is the anvil that faith is be formed
on...believing God's word in spite of what my eyes see. I believe the dawn is coming
and with it comes His healing, restoration and redemption.
