Dear All,
Wishing you the best year of all (so far)!!! May 2006 be filled with unexpected surprises and
fulfilled dreams. I'm praying for the heavens to open and the reservoirs of stored up
blessings to flood over us and you too this year. I can't wait to see what God is going to do
with this next year.
Last year, 2005 ended with a flurry as we prepared for and hosted our three evening
evangelistic Christmas Crusade at our church. Our guest minister was Phil Rich, from
Oklahoma, USA. He is a man of God, raised and trained in the atmosphere of revival and
daily miracles. He came to give us freely from what he had received from the Lord over the
years.
In preparation, many from our church participated
in a 21 day fast. We prayed often and passionately
for God to come and make Himself known. The
few days before the Crusade began, we gave out
1,500 invitations on the street, and 500 more in
three local hospitals—the cancer hospital, the
hospital for heart problems and a general medicine
clinic. We also put up 200 posters around town
advertising the Crusade as a night of celebrating
Christmas and the miracles of God. As the Crusade
approached, we were filled with faith and great
anticipation about what God would do among us.
And we were not disappointed. Each night was highlighted by worship that fixed people's
eyes and hearts on our wonderful God. Phil then began ministry with anointed
teaching...raising everyone's faith level. And then the miracles started!
Phil often would receive specific words of knowledge about a person and their condition. As
the identified person would stand the power of God would fall on them. Or at other times
Phil would hear from God to have all with a particular condition to stand up or come forward.
Others would receive miracles from the "charged atmosphere". The presence of God was so
heavy in the place. We saw miracle after miracle.
Here are a few highlights:
My widow friend and former neighbor, Susi (age 82) who we affectionately call our
"church grand ma" came to the Crusade very weak and sick, in pain and with great difficulty
walking. In fact on the way to church, she told me that she felt that God was calling her
home because she had never felt this bad before. We practically carried her up the stairs and
she agonized with every step toward a seat in the front of the church. But then!!!! Late in the
service Phil took her by the hand and said God wanted to heal her legs. She stood up and was
touched so powerfully by God that she took off running up and down the aisle of the church,
to the amazement and joyful applause of the whole gathering. (I visited her yesterday and
she is doing better than I seen her in years, walking up and down stairs with no assistance and
no pain!)
Razvan (age 19) was saved at our camp in September and has been coming to our church
since. An avid soccer player, Razvan severely tore a ligament in his knee three years ago and
has lived with pain ever since. One night at the crusade he was healed completely! The pain
